Just checking in to let you know that my new bit is working out great. My horse likes it, trusts my hand, and
is flexing nicely at the poll...training is going real well. I read in some article that short, lo-set necked horses (like mine) do well with the
short shank. It makes them "lift" the neck and shoulders. That does seem to be happening here. When I was first trying him, he had a
correction bit and he seemed scared of it and would stick his nose in the air and get quick. He is much more relaxed now and seeks my hand.
